AC Service Tech..... You are very good instructor and excellent teaching to all people Who want to learn and thank you and God bless you and your family...👍👍👨👩👧👧
Craig, you have a fantastic channel. You obviously know this material forwards and backwards, and we are lucky that you have taken the time to put these videos together. I bought your book, and it's extremely well written, presenting both the theory and practice in an easy-to-grasp style.
I downloaded this app when I was in school! It is a very handy app if you are a beginner, it helps in making sense of the refrigerants' saturation pressure and temperature.
Thx for these vids u post. Going to order ur book this coming payday.... I need to be able to fill in the holes from what i have learned so far. After a few years it is apparent some of the techs i have been working with are just wingin' it, thus dodging my questions.
@@GotTwins29 Ill try that thanks. I just checked my app updates and it does look like that is waiting to update. July 7th latet update is waiting. I as a ruledont update apps until they have been out for 30 so ill update in 30 days. Thanks. I wait 30 because of , it gives them time to update the app if it has bugs in it.
Bronchee Mims, the workbook is available to be purchased by itself at our website and on amazon. Where are you trying to find it at, on amazon or our website? Thanks and you can also email me at info@acservicetech.com if you would like. I would love to help, thanks!
I am not a big fan of checking pressures in that I feel the more times it gets checked, the more chance of problems being created, such as refrigerant loss and schrader valve sticking or coming loose. I am just a homeowner so I have no real HVAC training, just whats on youtube. My last Rheem system lasted 20 years and still worked great (2 1/2 ton) but I felt it was time to upgrade to a newer technology and I had nothing done to the condenser side, just changed filters in the blower and cleaned the drain with vinegar. Maybe I was just lucky, but I was in electronic service rep and sometimes we create more problems by checking things that don't need checking. So I am wondering it you check the temperature of the low and high pressure lines at the condenser, will that tell you pressure in the lines? That would negate having to check the actual pressure and reduce potential refrigerant loss and possible damage to schrader valve, or is my thinking way off----enjoy your video and learning a alot.---thanks
I recomnend as a home owner you just change filters when thry get 50% dirty or every 6 months min before summer and flu season. Just check the t/d for maint. Return temp & supply temperature. Check every year. Should be a 18-22 degree t/d. Shoukd be the same every year. If it changes. Then u know u have to service it. Check capacitor every year. Check contactor every year. Replace as necessary. Wash condenser every year before summer. Thats it. You dont put guages on unless t/d is off.
@@OcRefrig Thanks for that---good info i will be following. Do you suggest taking t/d at vents in house nearest air handler or actually in return and supply at air handler?

Always had this app and never knew it had all these features. Just used it for PT chart. Thank you for the extra knowledge as usual.
this is awesome! got to get the young generations to carry on the trade! I sure wish I would have done this sooner.
Great vid Craig ... If I wasn't retired , I'd be all over it ...
Yeah its a free app, thanks Eddy!

Sounds great, and also read those articles we have at the site, thanks!
Very good videos i have a question could you please tell me what is better txv or piston for A coil Thanks
A TXV is certainly more efficient than a piston and they nare made better nowadays with the stainless steel head and cap tubing to the bulb, thanks!
thanks for sharing! awesome presentation.
Glad it helps!
I just purchased your book today, I’m excited to get it and learn a lot more 👍👍
Awesome! Thank you!
Good vid. Ive been using the danfoss slider app for a while now. I guess this is a diff danfoss app.
You just have to update the original slider app

Awesome, please let me know what you think of it after reading , thanks!
Craig, why can't we purchase the question and answer book since a lot bought the a.c. service tech book before you came out with the Q@A boo?

That will tell you discharge temps but not the saturated temps. (The temp at the center of the coil.)

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you
Glad to help Raphael!
Thank you very much 🙏🙏🇺🇸god bless you.

What’s up, Craig!!!
Hey Electric Boogie!
I like the measurequick app
The Slider is a killer. And I've noticed they just added ALTITUDE to the gauge in settings. Up to 2.000 m.
In this app I input 70 psi for R-22 and it says the 32.27 degrees Fahrenheit is the equivalent temperature. I love the app but it is inaccurate.
That is really odd! I get 40.99 degrees F. I havent seen anything like that
👌👌👌👌👍
hey partner can I email you privately I just have a question to ask you thank you.
Sure can info@acservicetech.com thanks!
